September 11th the Yankee Draft Horse Association hosted a wagon drive and Al & Caroline Craig's 50th anniversary party. The weather was spectacular! We had 3 pairs today, mules, Belgians & Clydesdales, 4 single drivers, a mini, a haflinger, a morgan and a percheron and 3 riders. We drove through a polo farm, lovely rolling hills and fields, through a horse farm and back down the road to the parking at Lisa Kriz's home. Lisa hosted the pig roast for her parents. The picnic tables were plentiful, lots of delicious food and plenty of desserts. The anniversary cake had a lovely photo on it of Al & Caroline cutting their cake at their wedding. There were lots of photos of them on display from over the years which was enjoyed by all. A good time was had by all. Let's hope the draft horse club makes this an annual drive!
